Akamai grew revenue 5% to $1.10 billion as security and cloud infrastructure offset a shrinking CDN business, but GAAP operating income fell 47% on a stock-compensation timing change and network build-out costs, and the company suspended buybacks to fund a $3.5 billion cloud capacity expansion.
